Kristin Fisher was added to CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent team in the month of July 2021. In her new position she is responsible for covering all aspects of space, from NASA and the newly created Space Force, to commercial companies in space and the rise to space tourism. Kristin, the daughter of NASA astronauts, and also an avid space fan has spent her entire childhood in the industry. She served for five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Trump and Biden Administrations. As she covered the two presidential impeachment cases as well as the 2020 Presidential Campaign as well as both administrations' efforts to limit the outbreak of coronavirus, Kristin covered a lot of other topics. The former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan on a highly-restricted trip. Kristin was a fixture in the newsrooms of local markets like Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for over a decade before becoming a part of the CBS network. She was awarded an Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as an CBS affiliate's one-man band reporter. Kristin, who is an experienced filmmaker, established Field Mouse Films, a firm that is specialized in documentary-style films with clients like Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
